COMPARE AND CONTRAST....

After watching Mitt Romney's and Barack Obama's speech, I was able to compare and contrast both of they're opinions. Mitt Romney wants to get our country out of the national deficit that we have and so does Barack Obama. They both feel like they are capable of doing things so our economy can improve. Mitt Romney believes that taxing the upper class is useless. Barack Obama thinks that we need to tax the upper class just because they have more money. They both want to create more jobs, improve the economy.

Barack Obama wants:
  • to find new resources for energy
  • he doesn't want to stick his hands in the abortion issue
  • he approves gay marriage
  • he wants to improve our country by giving EVERYONE health care
  • he wants to end war
  • he wants to fix our future
  • he wants to end war by 2014
Mitt Romney wants:
  •  CHANGE
  • he wants to run the US like a business

As you can see, my compare and contrast is biased. I just don't see how else Romney is going to help the people. If all he plans to do is treat our country like a BUSINESS. Make profit for the upper class.

My results are seen above. I'm not surprised to have been matched more to Obama. I'm more liberal and opened minded. The issues on Health Care and immigration hit close to the heart for me. I also don't think one necessarily "NEEDS" to have business experience to get our country out of this economic deficit. Obama in my opinion, has a clear idea of what he needs to do to improve this country. When he became president, the United States was not in good conditions. Yet, slowly but surely he's trying to improve our country. As for the abortion and gay marriage issues, we are no one to say what is right and wrong. One should have the choice to do as they please to one's body; one should have the choice to marry and or be with whom they please. Separation of church and state should continue to be strictly enforced.

Personal Reflection on Political polls...

While doing Mr. Palo's political poll project, I discovered how closed minded and misinformed people are. I realized most people vote on presidential candidates who are closely more related to their RELIGIOUS opinions. (Well in this election) I believe that's kind of a waste of a vote. I also interviewed someone who really didn't even know what issues were big in this election. Overall, I believe people who vote should do their "homework" and make better voting decisions!!!!!!!
